I have a question about food in its original packaging:
Yesterday, my husband accidentally bought ground coffee instead of whole bean coffee (the packaging looks the same and the price is identical). He noticed this at home and wanted to exchange it (the package was unopened, of course).
The lady at customer service was very unfriendly and said, "We'll be accommodating because the store manager wants us to, and I'll refund the purchase price, but I want to point out that
the package would now be thrown away "because of us."
Why is that? Why are perfectly good, originally packaged food items thrown away? We can't be the only ones who accidentally do something like this, which means that a lot of food is being thrown away, right?
