Since I've been doing less shopping by car, I use a shopping trolley and walk home with the shopping. It's an elegant vehicle similar to a wheeled suitcase, but with large, comfortable wheels. (Yes, you know it from the retired shoppers... I'm one of them. I'm one of them myself.) My problem: handling the shopping trolley and a shopping cart or shopping basket at the same time is quite unfamiliar. In practice, I steer the shopping cart at the front and pull my shopping trolley at the back. It feels like a small train. I also don't have a free hand. Are there any tips on how to improve handling? Is there any way of attaching the trolley to the shopping cart? I wouldn't like to leave the shopping trolley outside the store because of the risk of it being stolen. A rucksack isn't big enough for me either. I would be grateful for any good ideas. Thanks, Yoliboli, for the suggestion, but then I wouldn't have some things from the trolley (various bags, possibly pet bottles) with me in the store, and I would have to leave my goods at the checkout and then fetch the trolley, which could also cause a traffic jam at the checkout. The trolley (the shopper, the shopping trolley, the shopping pen) isn't so big that I have to leave it outside like a dog. And if anyone suggests that I should put the shopping back into the store shopping cart at the checkout and take it to the trolley for the final transfer, I'll give them a NJET: Because then I would have to repack the goods 4 times while shopping (into the shopping cart, onto the conveyor belt, into the shopping cart, into the trolley). If I have to repack 4 times, then I can write the same thing again in the 4th step: into the car. As far as I know, there is also no possibility of tying up at the store entrances (and there are also no locking facilities for all the shopping bags and rucksacks that are carried into the stores). Thank you, sirio60, for pointing out the S-hooks. That points me in the right direction. In the meantime, I have found a possible solution myself (as is often the case when you describe your problem to those around you). I simply googled "shopping trolley shopping trolley" and found a YouTube video entitled "With the shopping trolley in the supermarket". It shows that many modern shopping trolleys have a projection at the top and back of the "hand bar", which you can attach to the grille on the front of the shopping cart. (I would like to attach a corresponding diagram from the Internet, but this is difficult in terms of copyright. Just google "shopping trolley hooks" and show the images you find). I looked at my trolley and saw - hurray - that there are also two inconspicuous hook-in elements. So, in railroad terms, I should be able to place my trolley trailer at the front over the cow catcher of my shopping cart locomotive. So tomorrow I'll go to my trusted Migros store and check whether the solution works technically. The old Migros kid, who thinks he's pretty brilliant at the moment

It's even easier: scan the items with the Subito scanner and put them directly into the shopping trolley, then you no longer need the separate shopping trolley.....

@easthouse Thanks for the suggestion. But the Subito scanner doesn't improve my "shopping experience", and in my opinion (old-fashioned) the goods shouldn't disappear somewhere before they are paid for. But just the same: today I did the practical test with the suspended trolley/shopper. It all worked right away, it's my solution (see picture). Thanks to everyone.
