I have just read this article on 20minuten.ch: https://www.20min.ch/story/bald-verschwinden-die-meisten-melectronics-filialen-882268348004 Shop-in-shop solution is the magic word. I'm already afraid of how many of our favorite products will disappear from the range in the near future because the space is needed for Melectronics' sales area... Ouch... What do you think?
I hadn't suspected much, but unfortunately Migros has been saving more and more, even in the past M Budget Mobile used to add Cumulus points to the bill, even that has been abolished. You can only hope that you can at least continue to buy smartphones and other electronic items. Household electronics, you can go straight to Fust.
Since the future will lie in online retail anyway, that doesn't bother me. I haven't bought an electrical appliance in a store for years. Everything online. I don't need any advice either. I can also find information about the appliance and tests online.
I don't need Melectronics stores in supermarkets any more than I need Misenso optics stores. It's just annoying and takes up a lot of space. Migros is doing everything wrong again.

There are still many people, especially older people, who want or need personal advice on site. So much is lost when everything is "digital".

"Migros is doing everything wrong again." I can't say whether it's everything, but what is 1000% certain is that it's very, very much. Far too much in recent years. 🤨 🧐 😒 😞 😔

I agree that stores are still needed. Younger people also go there for advice. However, specialist stores such as SportX, Do It, Misenso and Melectronics do not belong as a shop-in-shop concept in a supermarket. First brand-name products push out good own-brand products from supermarkets, now Melectronics stores are supposed to do the same. Really, that's absurd! But I would be interested to know what exactly is being lost at Alles Digital, because I have no idea.
What exactly will the Melectronics sales area be used for? Perhaps there will be something that we customers need more often? Personally, I would like to have an area that mainly offers SME services - making PCs virus-proof, optimizing PCs in terms of data security/performance etc., helping to put data protection laws into practice, solving PC problems, hard disk(!) and DVD shredding services. Then a bookkeeping service for SMEs and sole proprietorships (only submitting receipts, everything else regarding bookkeeping would be taken care of by the service). Reliable information center regarding tax-free and taxable services nationally and internationally (online), legal conditions. Ordering business cards/graphic stamps and being able to check and collect the quality on site (they are actually still needed). Improving an existing product together. In the office sector, there are many things I would like to hand over to a single place that takes care of everything at transparent prices. Yes, just a lot of little things, but for SMEs without an IT and marketing department, very time-consuming and error-prone. Delegating these tasks to individual companies is also time-consuming: Reading through every contract, discussing, adapting, monitoring deadlines, checking results. Apart from that, I would have a lot of other ideas about what to do with the sales space gained. But the IT & accounting office service would be a huge help in my case. Maybe something like that already exists - if so, please send me the link. It's possible that my idea is totally illusory and not feasible in reality. But there may also be other people who are passionate about these things and would find it worthwhile to invest time in developing them in order to make the unfeasible feasible and fill the gap. Products can be bought online, service with customer contact has the advantage of personal contact, because there are orders that are too complex to be presented by e-mail and misunderstandings can be avoided by the simultaneous facial expressions of the order recipient. Ultimately, it is also human contact, including understanding, trust and humor, that cannot be replaced by AI, not yet.
