I see that the organic tomatoes are in action Fr. 4.15 instead of 5.20 so I buy some. On the receipt I see that they're actually Fr. 5.20 instead of Fr. 4.15. The shares are not valid on the day you receive the ad, but only the day after. The Migros week lasts 6 days, from Tuesday to Sunday! Migros shares are like insurance contracts: you have to read the small print carefully if you don't want to be cheated.
Hello Dom, Thank you very much for your message about our actions. We'll be happy to explain why we publish the actions on Sunday/Monday, whereas they don't start until Tuesday in our stores. This is due to our internal logistics. The quantities to be delivered are relatively large at the start of an action. This is why some of our fresh produce is delivered the day before. If the campaigns were to start on Monday, early delivery would have to take place on Saturday, or even Friday, as capacity is already exhausted on Saturday anyway. This would mean the loss of two particularly important days of freshness, especially for fruit and vegetables. What's more, store staff usually prepare stock presentations on Monday, so that they're ready when the stores open on Tuesday. They would otherwise have to do this work on Saturdays, but to enable our customers to plan their purchases, we communicate the actions before they are launched. As far as I'm concerned, I understand that the actions last from Tuesday to the following Monday inclusive, i.e. for seven days. But I already receive the new actions in the newsletter on Sunday where it is specified that they are valid only since Tuesday, that is to say for seven days. But it's true that most shops are closed on Sundays. So I don't really see a problem with the information.
