I can't see where the milk comes from on the packaging. Doesn't it have to say that? The name Heidi suggests that it contains healthy Alpine milk.
Where does the milk come from? What do the cows eat?

Hello Uncle, thank you for your interest in our Heidi products. These are subject to the BAlV (Mountain and Alpine Ordinance) and come from BAIV-certified farms in mountain zones I to IV. The milk for the Heidi drinking milk comes geographically from the Jura region. Since July 2021, the milk used has also come exclusively from IP-Suisse certified farms. The use of concentrated feed is also reduced here. You can read more about this on this website: https://www.ipsuisse.ch/richtlinien-wiesenmilch-2/. Best regards, Chloe

Thank you Cloe for your answer. Wouldn't it make sense for the exact origin to be stated on the milk carton? It says so on the Migros meadow milk.
Can you please check this?
Many thanks, best regards Uncle

Hello Uncle, thank you very much for your input. We have gladly submitted this to our specialist department, which is looking into possible implementation. In general, Heidi milk is mountain milk. In the case of regional mountain milk, some of which we also have in our range, the origin is labeled accordingly. Kind regards, Yann

Oh, who doesn't know her, the Jura Heidi :)

Exactly🥛
The Heidi packaging also has a short excerpt from the Heidi story by J. Spyri printed on it - I wouldn't have thought of the Jura as the place of origin.
Is Migros trying to pull the wool over our eyes?

Hello Uncle, the place of origin Jura is specifically the case for milk, but there are other mountain regions that produce articles for the Heidi line. The following is important: The specific requirements must comply with the "Ordinance on the Use of the Designations "Mountain" and "Alpine" for Agricultural Products and Foodstuffs Produced Therefrom". This is the case with our products. If you are interested, you can read more about this here: https://www.fedlex.admin.ch/eli/cc/2011/340/de. Best regards, Chloe
