Wanted to buy my favorite freezer bags and found that they are no longer available. Like so many other tried and tested items, they have been replaced by inferior Chinese products under the Kitchen & Co label.

Hello ejakob, thank you for your message. We are sorry that the search for your favorite turned out to be in vain. There has indeed been a major change in the bag and foil sector. Tangan products are now part of the "Kitchen & Co." brand. We obtain the goods from a supplier in the Netherlands. Only the missing freezer bags came from China. We no longer offer these due to the drop in demand. As an alternative, we recommend the freezer bags from M-Budget. Best regards, Tabea

Hello Tabea
Thank you for your reply. So the Tangan bags say "Made in Thailand" just for your information.
And do you have the feeling that demand will increase now that it's called Kitchen & Co instead of Tangan? Probably not.
As a Migros kid, I can't understand the new policy anyway. Many favorite products are disappearing. Everything has to be labeled in English somehow. I can speak English, but it's still annoying. And when I ask the sales staff, for example, if they know what porc brisket means, I just get question marks. If you called pork brisket, everyone would know what it is. But just .... The main thing is English!

Hi ejakob, thank you very much for your feedback. We will be happy to clarify your comment regarding the indication of origin with the specialist department. Do you perhaps have a photo of the bag in question that refers to the origin Thailand? We would also be grateful if you could let us know the item number. This will enable us to determine the exact product. We also placed your honest feedback regarding the new brand name with the responsible department. We look forward to reading from you again! Best regards, Lea

Hello ejakob, thank you for sending us the photos! As we can see from the photos, these are the Tangan bags, which originate from Thailand. As we have already been informed, we source Migros Kitchen & Co. products from a supplier in the Netherlands. We have of course passed on your honest feedback regarding the new name and the English designations to the responsible department. Kind regards, Lea
