When the tried and true disappears and the new fails to win us over
Wenn Bewährtes verschwindet und Neues nicht überzeugt
I’m actually a true Migros kid. That’s why I find it all the more unfortunate to see the direction the product lineup is taking.
More and more products that we’ve cherished and enjoyed buying for years are suddenly disappearing from the shelves. Other products were top-notch for years, but then they’re altered with a new recipe or formula—and unfortunately, they end up being nothing but a flop.
Even the legendary M-Budget line seems to be getting smaller and scarcer. For many of us, these products are exactly what made Migros special: good, no-fuss products at fair prices.
I’ve noticed that, for this reason, I’ve been shopping at Migros less and less for quite some time now and am increasingly looking elsewhere.
To be honest, that makes me sad. For decades, Migros was more than just a supermarket to me. But when more and more tried-and-true items disappear and even popular products are no longer what they used to be, a piece of my identity is lost as well.
Too bad, Migros. A former Migros kid is slowly losing the desire to shop with you.
