Hello RemoLuzern, thank you for your inquiry. Preferred butter is generally not the same quality as cooked butter. Cooked butter: The cheapest and at the same time best-selling butter in Switzerland. This butter can be made from fresh cream or from stored butter, i.e. frozen butter. Preferred butter: Must always be completely fresh and therefore has a more intense flavour than cooked butter. This is also the reason for the difference in price. In terms of size, preferred butter tends to be used for brunch (spread, etc.), whereas cooked butter tends to be used for baking, for example.
