Have you ever thought about how much environmentally harmful glue could be saved if the packaging were designed intelligently? MegaStar, Chäschüechli to name just two, use glue to hold the packaging together, this could be done differently and without glue.
And how would it work?

Hello chpalatinus, thank you for your interesting question. For technical reasons (machine), we would not be able to use the proposed folding box design at the moment. In addition, the current cardboard quality and thickness is not stable enough to seal the packaging in this way. The hot-melt adhesive we use (not glue) is a polymer. This is automatically sorted out as a water-insoluble solid during cardboard recycling and is then sent for thermal recycling. Kind regards, Chloe
