I think it's a real shame that the vegan plait is no longer available. It was just as good as the "normal" one and had a much smaller ecological footprint because - no eggs, no butter. Why is it no longer available?

There's already a post about it... too little demand... but a new braid will soon be added to the range
Hello SimoneSteph, our V-Love plait was not as popular with all our customers as it was with you. Demand was steadily declining, so we decided to take this step. Nevertheless, we are already working on finding a good alternative for the plait. Best regards, Susi

Hmm 🤔 I find it a bit strange, because the plait seems to be doing well with the big competition with the C. I rather suspect that if the plait hadn't been branded so heavily - with the V-Love brand - it would have done well. You can't really tell the difference between the regular plait. But it was already very vegan branded with this very eye-catching logo and design. And my husband, for example, would never have bought it because it was branded vegan just because he has something against these hyped vegan products. But I've already bought it and he didn't know and didn't notice any difference. Same with my parents. What's more, vegan products shouldn't be much more expensive than non-vegan ones! It makes no sense. A vegan braid doesn't cost any more than a non-vegan one. This is purely about profiting from the hype and demand for vegan products. And I have to say, I personally think it's a great pity that there will be neither vegan plaited bread nor vegan croissants in Migros in 2024. For me, this is part of a standard product range these days. In general, I think it's just unbelievable and a shame that there's almost nothing vegan to buy in the fresh baked goods section. Perhaps it could be branded a little more subtly. And of course you can bake everything yourself if you have the time.

Bürli are not vegan bread rolls? Steinoffen bread rolls? And why should a range be expanded if only a small proportion are vegan? The product has most likely produced food waste, why should vegan be placed above that? And why should a product be labeled less vegan? If people don't want it, they don't want it. I also like to eat vegan burgers, but because I like it. Maybe people didn't like it?
