I find it very confusing that a pan is labeled "titanium", but in the descriptions (neither on the pan nor on the Internet) titanium is mentioned as a material. For me, this is a misleading statement that raises false expectations that are then not fulfilled. And then you or your wife "only" have an aluminum pan!
Hello rf-bern, thank you for your contribution. The pan body of the Titan series is made of aluminum. The name TITAN comes from the hard base coating (consists of titanium oxide combined with aluminum oxide), which is sprayed onto the pan in a special process. Kind regards, Matteo

According to the lady from the Rayon, it's "not an aluminum pan" - and titanium is just the brand name... (this was the answer I received when I returned it...). What surprises me, however, is that this "declaration" is nowhere to be found....

The people responsible told me that the information can be found on the back: "Forged aluminum pan body with PTFE non-stick coating (plastic)." I hope these lines alleviate your concerns. I think the name refers more to Greek mythology. I have a few pans from the series and find them ok to good. Incidentally, mine are all mainly made of stainless steel, not aluminium, and are therefore much heavier but also much more durable. The only titanium cooking pans (material) I know of are intended for camping. In my opinion, the material is not really suitable for everyday use.
