Dark brown sugar (Muscovado)

During one of my trips to Mauritius, I had the opportunity to visit the sugar cane factory and taste the different sugars produced, sorted by color and order of refining. There was very dark brown, dark brown, light brown and ordinary. The darker 2 are my favorite and are excellent on pies, pastries and drinks. I've always hoped to find some in Switzerland, but it's too often too dry and too light, so it loses its original taste of sugarcane juice and caramelized cane syrup. Would it ever be possible to find it in the Migros shelves? And why not sugarcane juice syrup as black and thick as the original?
