For many years I have regularly bought the aspartame-based Sucorine sweetener tablets. Although much more expensive, I prefer them to those based on cyclamate and/or saccharin because they make my coffee taste better. Now I have recently noticed the following: In a large Migros store, the shelf space is marked with the note that the product is currently not available. A smaller store apparently doesn't stock Sucorine at all, and online it says 'Availability currently unknown' and 'Not available in stores'. At the same time, I also missed the can of Bonherba sugar-free herbal sugar (also contains aspartame) - for the first time in decades, so probably no coincidence. Can someone from the Migipedia team clarify whether there are any availability problems with aspartame and whether the items will be available again in the foreseeable future?

Hello sirio60, the raw material lungwort is currently missing from the Bonherba products. This is contained in many Bonherba products and there is therefore a supply shortage. The products are expected to be available again in a month's time. We do not have a raw material problem with aspartame in the Sucorine sweetener tablets. However, there are difficulties with the delivery of the packaging. Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to predict how long this issue will last. Kind regards, Susi

Hi Susi and thanks for the clarification. I found it somewhat surprising that the sweetener was due to the packaging, as it is a simple PET container. But indeed: in another large store, even the standard, cheaper sweetener was sold out (same packaging with a red lid instead of a blue one). I will look around for Assugrin Gold to tide me over. Contrary to expectations, however, it was difficult to find: a nearby large Coop store does not stock it.
