Hello Migros, last week I was in Migros with my son and we looked everywhere in vain for the Subito Wild Rice Mix. Has it been taken out of the range? That would be a shame, we love this rice mix, we always buy almost 10 packs at a time. My mother used to make it about 35 years ago when I was little, do you hope you'll include it in the range again?
Hello cosmo79, thank you for your inquiry. I'm sorry that the search for the family favorite turned out to be unsuccessful. In fact, we no longer offer the mix. This is due to the drop in demand. Naturally, I informed the relevant specialist department about your wish to be able to buy the rice variant from us again. There are currently no plans to reintroduce it. Nevertheless, the specialist department is prepared to address the issue as part of the next product range revision. Hi Tabea, that's a real shame, as I said, I grew up with this rice mix (I think it used to be called North Carolina Wild Rice Mix and came in a light blue package), and it goes wonderfully with many different dishes, my son also loves this rice very much. The recommended long grain wild rice is simply not the same because it lacks the spices etc.. Instead, I found lots of standard rice mixes from Subito (e.g. Milanese) that are also available from other producers in Migros, so they are duplicated. It's a shame that the Wild Rice Mix has been taken out of the range, especially as it has always been sold for decades. I very much hope that it will find its way back onto the shelves when the range is next revised, as these are precisely the products that make Migros what it is for many people.
