I have been buying Migros soft butter for years because it is very easy to spread as it is softened with rapeseed oil. Yesterday, I opened a new pack and was initially surprised because the consistency had changed; it was no longer as compact but somehow flaky. The worst thing, however, was that I had a small puddle of water on my buttered bread. I then looked at the ingredients and it actually said that water was included. Unfortunately, I can't tell if there was water in it before, as I no longer have any older packaging.
My daughter, who uses the same butter, had the same problem, so it can't be a coincidence.
If it's really the case that water is being added, I won't buy this soft butter anymore. Yet another reason not to shop at Migros anymore.
