Revival of old fruit varieties

Revival alte Obstsorten

The other day, I found some "cheap apples"—Boskops, an old variety that’s only grown for cider these days. But for me... finally, apples that actually deserve the name. They weren’t pretty to look at, but they were delicious. Not that polished, saccharine pulp that tastes more and more boring the fancier the name product designers come up with for it. I want fruit that tastes like fruit again, preferably old varieties. Even if they might not look so glossy. What do you think?
