You know that this is very harmful to the environment and I and many other people and especially the climate, animals and plants would be very grateful if they would pack more items in paper packaging. We have several experts working with us every day to optimize our packaging and test alternative materials. We replace plastic where it makes sense. Our progress in the "Zero Waste" mission is also specifically aimed at reducing packaging in our product range. To evaluate the most environmentally friendly packaging, we calculate life cycle assessments for various packaging solutions. These show us how high the environmental impact is over the entire life cycle. The results in relation to paper and plastic bags for fruit and vegetables, for example, are clear. The plastic bag performs better ecologically in Switzerland, mainly because much less material is needed for a thin plastic bag than for a paper bag. A systematic and comprehensive switch to cardboard or paper would therefore not make ecological sense. Kind regards, Chloe
The sustainability of paper and cardboard is generally overestimated. Recently, I finally got the plastic collection bags from Migros and now I recycle every piece of plastic packaging 🙂
There are certainly things that can be wrapped in plastic, but I think 2 organic schnitzel freshly wrapped in a thick layer of plastic is also wrong.

You can also buy meat without packaging from the butcher. Simply bring a container from your kitchen and you've already saved on plastic.
