Just a comment for you, but with a big impact on our products

Nur ein Kommentar für dich, aber mit grosser Auswirkung auf unsere Produkte

Food sensory analysis deals with the evaluation of food properties using the sensory organs. And today I would like to tell you about sensor technology and a Migros sensor technology initiative. Over the next three years, 1,000 of our existing products will be tested and optimized. But right from the start: You comment on and rate our products here on Migipedia every day. For us, the exchange with you is not just a collection of feedback, but also a concrete mission: to constantly improve our products. Various projects have been running for some time on the subject of product optimization: Migros has its own sensory team for this purpose. These five employees have made it their mission to constantly check the Migros range for quality, taste and appearance and to improve it where necessary. After all, our products should impress with their taste every day. For example, you told us that the pretzel croissants had a somewhat unattractive shape. We then revised the rolling technique and voilà: Now they are much better received.1,000 products in 3 yearsThe team's latest project is now the sensory initiative: over the course of three years, 1,000 products from the existing Migros range will be closely examined and tested - all with the aim of continuously improving our own products. And in order to meet preferences, the involvement of customers is paramount, alongside factors such as comparison with the competition. This means that the sensory team gathers around 60 customers and experts for each test to evaluate each of these 1,000 products. Various aspects are tested, from taste and consistency to appearance. 120 different products have already been tested using this method since mid-2021. Some had to be improved - such as the nut sticks. The cut edges were not clear enough. However, other products scored top marks in the first round. The intense coffee aroma of the lactose-free mocha yoghurts, for example, tasted very good to the testers and the M-Budget olives were also very well received. With this initiative, we want to show how important the opinions of our customers are to us and that you can have a direct influence on the range with your Migipedia ratings. For example, your criticisms of our bear paws were incorporated directly into the questionnaire and asked of the testers. From one to five stars - we always enjoy reading what you think about our products and look forward to your suggestions. With this in mind, here's to more reviews! Best regards, Philipp
