The drinks manufacturer Aproz, which is owned by Migros, sells the drink SchOrle in various flavors. The drinking bottles now have a new cap (image 2). Until recently, when the bottle was empty, you could simply unscrew the cap (image 1), refill the bottle with water or whatever and continue to use it. This was good for nature and the consumer. Now Migros has come up with something new and exciting. It has introduced a safety break point so that this is no longer so easy (pictures 3 and 4). Whatever the idea behind this invention, in my opinion it is moronic and anti-consumer. Apart from the fact that it is probably also environmentally unfriendly, because this very intelligent invention means that more pet bottles end up in the garbage or on the roadside. Although the bottles can still be used and filled, they will be more difficult to handle. I don't quite understand what the point of this new cap is, but presumably it's to stop people recycling these bottles and instead buy a new one, thereby supporting Aproz.
