Until recently, the Fit and Well strawberry jam was available in a 365 g jar for around CHF 2.20. Now there is only a 215 g jar for CHF 1.95. A whopping 50% price increase. Why? And why in a smaller jar? That just makes it even more expensive.
In the topic there is the reasoning that because of less sugar it has a shorter shelf life, so smaller jars (?) Regularly they were last 3.30 or 3.55 for raspberry. EDIT: 2017 WARS 2.10! I have to correct myself, depending on the year the prices were different and last at (2022?) 3.30 where they were once on promotion at under 2.- in the Migros magazine advertisement, third picture. But Migros certainly has exact figures:)

Oh that happens and depending on the year you were right, it used to be 2.20😁 But the "good" thing is that the confectionery seems to have become cheaper again if I'm not mistaken. But I hope it still tastes the same as before, then it would be a win win😄
I don't think it's cheaper, more like the same. Using my rule of three, I came up with CHF 3.31 for the larger jar, which works out exactly 😉😊

In order to optimally utilize the production facilities, we have also adjusted the portion size of some products - but contrary to your assumption, we have not adjusted the 100 g price. Let's take the example of the Fit & Well strawberry mentioned above: Previously, 365 g cost CHF 3.30 which meant a 100 g price of CHF 0.90. Now 215 g cost CHF 1.95, which is CHF 0.91 per 100 g. The one centime is due to rounding in the calculation (100 g is CHF 0.906976 - which gives CHF 0.91 when rounded up). Kind regards, Angela
