Hello, does anyone know if you can easily connect a NAS to the M-Budget Internet-Box (not WinBox!) to set up a home network? The router has LAN connections, but you don't read much on the Internet in this context, except that you can hardly make any settings with the router from M-Budget; port forwarding etc. should not be possible. Otherwise, would it be possible to use a different router instead of the one supplied by M-Budget?
You can connect and operate "any" external NAS (e.g. Synology) to your network. The NAS doesn't care which router you have. You can use Synology "QuickConnect" for external access - no port forwarding is required. External routers are not possible with M-Budget, but they are with Wingo. For your information: M-Budget Mobile/Internet/TV is operated by Wingo. Whereby Wingo is a Swisscom brand, but uses its own IT systems in addition to the Swisscom network and is therefore not directly Swisscom compatible....

Thanks easthouse. Thanks to your information, I can now decide to purchase a Synology with the certainty that it will serve my needs adequately even with my current support. Sooner or later, however, it will probably also make the most sense to switch to Wingo. The Wingo subscription is currently even 10.-/m cheaper. I don't know what the customer service is like, as I haven't had any support there, at least with my Mobile subscription. :-)
