Sustainability is always a top priority at Migros. When I look at this week's promotion with Caffè Latte from Emmi, it has nothing at all to do with sustainability. Because 5 cups are packed in a cardboard outer packaging, plus the cups are also packed in a cardboard holder. 4 cups filled with caffè latte and 1 reusable plastic cup for so-called "collectors". Is that sustainable? What's the point of the empty reusable cup if the pack already contains 4 cups of coffee?
Caffè Latte is not a Migros product, the packaging will be a specification from Emmi.
It is all the worse if Migros still carries such branded products without sustainability in its range. With the announcement of its new supermarket strategy, it has announced that it will once again focus more on its own brands.

Enclosed is their statement: The multipack promotional format was launched to mark the 20th anniversary of Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE. For reasons of transport safety and to ensure stability and quality, the use of a cardboard holder in the packaging is unfortunately unavoidable. The reusable cup is intended as a gift and can be used again and again at home, especially for the Mr. Huge format.
