The other day, we had a discussion about what Migros Monte Generoso tastes like. A large part of the group was convinced that it tasted of banana. Unfortunately, we couldn't find any bananas in the ingredients of the cake. But we were sure that there used to be one that tasted of banana. But we couldn't find anything about it online. Can anyone confirm whether this version of Generoso existed?

Migros had a limited edition on offer some time ago, but this was a raspberry variant.
A few years ago, Coop also sold pyramid cakes like this, but under a different name. As far as I know, there were two or three different varieties on offer, possibly one of which was a banana variety.
I don't know if Coop still sells these, I can't find them online. They may have been removed from the range due to low demand, and Migros may have intervened. After all, the Generoso cake was developed when Migros took over the Monte Generoso train and saved it from going out of business.

I have found something: The Coop versions were called "Triangolo cake" and "Triangolo al limone". Perhaps the Triangolo was with banana...

The unmistakable taste of the cake is created exclusively by the ingredients in our recipe - bananas are not one of them.
