Is there ice cream from Migros without sugar? Preferably sweetened with stevia? There are already some from Chief's, for example. I've often wondered why I can't find sugar-free ice cream in Migros. Or am I just blind? 🧐

Hi taar1, at Migros you can find our You fruit ice cream in mango and raspberry (https://www.migros.ch/de/search?query=you%20glace), which contain no added sugar. The items contain the natural fructose of the fruit. You can also find Léger ice cream in cocoa (https://www.migros.ch/en/product/160408100000) and vanilla (https://www.migros.ch/de/search?query=l%C3%A9ger%20wasser). These are sucrose-free. However, they do contain oligofructose and sweeteners. Kind regards, Susi

Thanks for the reply with the product info :-) The range of sugar-free ice creams is pretty meagre (pun intended), isn't it? Certainly room for improvement, especially with the current trend towards healthier food (especially snacks like ice cream) Would be great to see more sugar-free ice cream products from Migros in summer 2023. Could take a look at Chief's ;-)

Based on experience (if you read the forum a bit), I would say that Migros' priority for some time now has been vegan and high protein (it's a trend at the moment, sells well, you can make money with it and boost sales). Sugar-reduced products are not really Migros' biggest priority (if these products are a priority at all), Coop is a little better in this respect (as always, foreign countries are much better compared to Switzerland)... You can hope for that, it's not called "hope dies last" for nothing ;-)

Hello taar1, thank you for your feedback. We are happy to pass this on and keep our fingers crossed that our range will be more in line with your wishes next summer. Best regards, Mia

Oh yes, please the Chief's ice cream or the Barebells are also great. You can also eat ice cream in winter. Why not a sugar-free cinnamon ice cream? https://www.freezinggood.de/produktkategori/barebells

yes, but most of the "high protein" stuff is also sugar-free. for example, there are already high protein yogurts and protein drinks that have no added sugar. that means it should "actually" be possible to produce 2-3 ice creams without added sugar with very little effort. there are really very good ice creams like this from other manufacturers, but unfortunately there is still a yawning void in migros.

Well, since I started a Halo Top thread a long time ago, not much has happened. I think in the meantime the demand in Switzerland is too low for such products... the Monster Zero series may be very popular with fitness people, but unfortunately not with many...

A few years ago there were 2 types of HP ice cream and they were brilliant. As has often been the case and more and more - Migros is taking a step backwards. See also the removal of Leger Fondue, Raclette, Feta, Mozzarella..... others are doing the opposite. Lidl now has HP cheese in raclette form!
