Hi everyone I seem to remember that there used to be an M-Budget processed cheese selection (6 "pieces of cake") with different flavors. However, I can no longer find it. There only seems to be "Swiss Style" left. Am I mistaken or has the product disappeared from the range? Kind regards

Hello Chipinkos, thank you for the question. You are right - due to an internal changeover, we have no longer stocked the M-Budget assorted processed cheese portions since July. We now offer assorted 12-portion processed cheese wedges (round boxes) under the Gerber brand. And the 6-piece assortment under Swiss-Style. Under M-Budget, the processed cheese round boxes nature are still available. Kind regards, Matteo

The reason is always the same (if you regularly read the forum here): Too little demand, didn't meet customer needs, no space on the shelf... (so actually: own brands out, branded products in, brings more margin/sales)

Really now? 🤣 Demand was too low, so they took the own brand out of the range and put the branded product on the shelf. Yes, it does, so it makes sense.

The reason is always the same (if you regularly read the forum here): Too little demand, didn't meet customer needs, no space on the shelf... (so actually: own brands out, branded products in, brings more margin/sales)
And what's the problem with Smartcoyote? Although I also miss a number of products that I liked to buy at Migros, I can understand Migros. You can see how the sales figures have developed and if a product doesn't perform well... It's clear that it has to make way for another product. Wouldn't any of us do the same if Migros were our own store, for example... Even if you don't like Lindt products... or Toblerone, for example... I bet with you, there are many customers in the Zurich area who have been looking for the products... (tourists etc).... Exactly in the Bern and Geneva area.... Aldi (Süd) also added a number of branded products a few years ago, although Aldi, like Migros, has a low proportion of branded products

I didn't write that this is a problem. I simply pointed out that Migros' answer as to why products disappear from the range is actually always the same, i.e. you can save yourself the question of "why was it taken out of the range"... Migros does what Migros wants anyway; as a customer you can't do anything and in the end it doesn't matter why a product was taken out of the range, as a customer you'll never know the truth anyway. That said, I've long since come to terms with it; if a product that we loved is no longer available at Migros, then it's no longer available, and then I just look for an alternative from the competition, and if they don't have anything either, then that's just the way it is, it's not the end of the world, it's just that this product is no longer available. That's life. The competition usually has the better price/performance ratio anyway, and in some cases also better quality products. There's enough choice elsewhere, we haven't been Migros children for a long time... And by the way: everyone should go shopping there and eat what they want. Lidl/Aldi also have branded products, that's true, but they carry them in addition to their own products and there aren't as many as at Migros. And Lidl/Aldi often "only" have branded products on offer for a limited time (s hät solangs hät). I have the feeling that Migros is trying to become more and more like a second Coop and is throwing out its own products/thinning out its own production products, which are then to be replaced with branded products...
