I bought an Epiphany cake this year and unfortunately there was no 'king' in any of the pieces, I knew beforehand that I was the 'queen' as I am the only one who likes it and it was also very fine, but I am still a little disappointed 😕

Hello Diavocks, I'm sorry that no king was included. The production of our delicious Epiphany cakes is still largely done by hand - especially the joining of the individual balls of dough and the insertion of the king. Despite the utmost care and strict controls, errors can unfortunately never be ruled out given the enormous production volume. So it can happen that we accidentally provide a cake with the wrong piece of dough without the king or insert the king into the middle piece instead of the traditional outer piece. We assure you that we do everything we can to prevent such mistakes. I apologize for any inconvenience caused. Kind regards, Susi
