Migros Industry is the in-house producer of Migros. Until a few years ago, Migros Industry consisted of over 40 independent companies. In recent years, these were initially divided into segments and then merged into larger units. This promoted closer cooperation, the development and use of joint solutions and led to cost savings. Such savings in turn make it possible to offer products more cheaply in Migros stores.
One result of this consolidation is that JOWA no longer exists in its original form - it is now part of the Fresh Food & Beverage Group. MIFROMA was also integrated into the Elsa Group. Today, the majority of Migros Industry is made up of four companies: the Micarna Group, the Elsa Group, the Fresh Food & Beverage Group and Delica. The fact that their products are sold under the name Migros Industry shows how closely these companies are linked to Migros.
Despite all the changes, new names and structures, one thing remains unchanged: All products will continue to be manufactured with great passion, by dedicated employees, in the usual quality and at the familiar locations in Switzerland.
