Gluten-free rolls sold by the piece / Gluten-free Blévita
Glutenfreie Brötchen im Offenverkauf / Glutenfreie Blévita
Dear Migros Team
I’d like to make a request that would likely benefit many people with gluten intolerance or celiac disease: gluten-free rolls sold by the piece.
In Switzerland, an estimated 1% of the population is affected by celiac disease, which corresponds to about 80,000 people. Furthermore, the actual number is likely even higher, as not all those affected have been diagnosed.
I am aware that producing and selling gluten-free baked goods in the open-shelf section is not entirely straightforward. In addition to the products’ specific texture, the risk of cross-contamination must also be taken into account. Nevertheless, I would love it if Migros would explore whether such a trial might be possible.
I’d also like to suggest considering gluten-free Blévita. In conversations with customers, I’ve heard repeatedly that people frequently ask for it in stores. Since Blévita is a popular on-the-go snack for many, a gluten-free version could generate a lot of interest.
In recent years, Migros has steadily expanded its product range for people with special dietary needs. Therefore, I would be very pleased if these two ideas could also be considered. :)
Thank you very much for reviewing my request and for your commitment to addressing the needs of all customers.
Best regards
