Why are there no fresh peas in the vegetable section? And why can't you buy beans individually? The packs are usually a bit too big for a household of 2 people.

On the subject of beans: firstly, I think all goods that lie around openly are more likely to end up as food waste, because the goods lose water much more quickly... in addition, they are too big for you, and the small ones are too small for families... and if you look at the entire range, this is not possible because of the space... but with the beans there are the extra ones in smaller sizes, aren't there?

Peas (and perhaps also lentils?) in the open sale of vegetables... Well, I don't want to know how many of them roll onto the floor when they are removed and then lie there and are trampled by customers. So: no, better not.
I think it's a good suggestion. There is also food waste when you are forced to buy a 500g bag of beans and as an individual you might just want to eat one or two small portions. And the beans often turn black and rotten in the bag; they may look crunchy for longer, but that's just the appearance, which gives customers the illusion of false freshness. Manor used to have beans on open sale, yes, sometimes they were no longer fresh, but most of the time they were and I was able to buy a few handfuls. Incidentally, I never noticed that there were beans on the floor. Surely 250g bags of (Swiss) beans would be a compromise?

That's why we use specially perforated bags. The 500 gram quantity has worked well so far, even if we understand that it is not ideal for smaller households. Leftovers are easy to freeze, but even then the products must be consumed within a few days. Alternatively, we stock the 350 gram varieties from October to May.
