Hello PrincesseErika, thank you for your question. AOP (Appellation d'Origine Protégée) feta does not contain citric acid, as its manufacture is subject to strict specifications that impose traditional methods and ingredients.
The addition of artificial additives such as citric acid is therefore not authorized, as it is not part of the traditional manufacturing method. Genuine PDO feta must not contain citric acid. Here are the products in our citric acid-free range:
