I would like an opinion on Excelcat Junior. There used to be 4x100g in a pack for 3 francs. Today it's 4x85g for 3.20 francs. That raises questions.

Migros and Mars argued about the prices... mars wanted to raise the prices even higher (30%)... that's probably why this compromise came about...
Hello Andi_85, our manufacturer has adjusted the grammages of some Exelcat products. The reason for standardizing the filling quantity of the portion bags to the filling quantity of 85 g is as follows: Research by the Waltham Petcare Science Institute shows that only 4 out of 10 cats will consume a 100g portion bag of wet food at a meal and many cats will reject leftover food when fed again. The standardization of the filling quantity therefore leads to more clean bowls and less leftover food, i.e. less food waste. Despite the grammage adjustment, the sales prices have effectively remained largely the same or have only been marginally reduced. This is because the cost of raw materials has risen massively. Kind regards, Susi

Dear Susi If prices have largely remained the same or have only fallen marginally, why are they higher now?

Hello Andi_85, thank you for the question. As the raw material prices have risen even further, some of the sales prices have been increased. Best regards, Matteo
