Hello MichGross, thank you for your inquiry and the photo. I am happy to confirm that the lid is suitable for use in the microwave. ATTENTION: As the products do not have a ventilation valve, the lid must not be attached to the can, but must rest loosely on it. Furthermore, the grill function of the microwave must be deactivated, otherwise the plastic will melt. I hope these lines are informative for you. Best regards, Tabea

Thank you, dear Tabea, for the information (loose lid and no grill function). I am still a little surprised that there is no indication of this on the packaging or on the lid itself, because as I saw yesterday, the product is no longer available where I bought it. Only separate lids that are marked as suitable for microwaves are now available.
My lid didn't have this label at all, which affected my confidence because every manufacturer emphasizes the extended properties of their products in order to be able to sell more of them. What is not expressly forbidden is not necessarily permitted. Conversely, what is not expressly permitted ... could be forbidden ;-))
Best regards, HP

Hello MichGross, thank you very much for your feedback. Your objections regarding the lack of indication of microwaveability are understandable. I would be happy to explain the background. The container is designed for the freezer. However, if you adhere to the conditions described above (loose-fitting lid, deactivated grill function), it can also be used for reheating food. We deliberately refrain from emphasizing this use because a) it is not the main function of the bowl and b) we would have to add a lot of text. As you rightly point out, we no longer offer this item. In our new "Kitchen & Co." line, corresponding pictograms on the lids provide information on proper use. I hope these additions are informative for you. Kind regards, Tabea
