The much-heralded revolution in the coffee market is not so revolutionary after all. The scoops are massively cheaper abroad, despite the private label. It's only about a paltry 40% Swiss surcharge! What's more, the idea was just copied 👎 Another reason not to buy such a machine.

A company in Balgach has had capsules that have been "dissolving" for several years. Migros has already visited this company. And now it's simply being passed off as a revolution, even though it's not.
Unfortunately, Migros in Switzerland is now simply siphoning off purchasing power as much as possible. Many of Migros' own brands can often be found up to 50% cheaper abroad. Especially chocolates and cookies. Migros belongs to the people (from the executive floors).

A long time ago I saw Midor biscuits in Aldi DE at a fraction of the price - made in CH by Midor, mind you. But of course the standard answers came, I understand all that but it doesn't make it any better why the margin has to be SO big because of the margin. And no, please for God's sake, no discussion about wages, pensions blahblah we know. It's just about the general question of how much more is ok and what is too much. Too bad Migros didn't do something with the conventional coffee pods with compostable ones, but then you wouldn't have to switch... hmm
I had already found Migros products produced abroad at the M-Outlet. Cheaper than in Migros but still up to twice as expensive as in A/D. So much for costs due to overproduction and sales advice etc. Outlet can certainly be compared with foreign discounters. And wages in Switzerland are not so much higher that product prices double.
I know it doesn't make it any better, but aren't all products cheaper abroad than in Switzerland? Why do you have to pick on these bullets now? I don't understand. Nobody is forcing you to buy either the machine or the balls. And no, I'm not a ball machine owner🙂
I don't think anyone is hacking around but rather trying to have a discussion about a topic that is simply no longer ok for you from a certain difference or no longer seems fair. But I don't know if coffeB doesn't have a production abroad, which is why the price is depressed. Still, at 40% it's steep, don't you think?
Of course the price (difference) is steep. But nobody HAS to buy these expensive balls. It is not a staple food like cereals (bread, rice) and vegetables/fruit etc. But if you want to drink cheap and fine coffee, you will use a portafilter machine anyway and not capsules.
