I'm desperately looking for salt-free potato chips in Switzerland! A delight: all the flavour of the fried potato without the artifice.... I ate some during my vacations this summer in France...and since then I've been dreaming of being able to find some in Switzerland...but I can't find any... Could Migros make them?

Your request for salt-free products is very pertinent and would also be useful for people who have to follow a low-salt diet. It's very easy to add salt, impossible to remove it. Why not let consumers season their own products much more often? The general public is a long way from the quantities of salt recommended by the WHO.

Salt in bread and bakery products plays a central role here, accounting for some 24% of daily salt consumption. As part of the Salt Strategy, the Swiss Federal Office for Food Safety and Veterinary Affairs (FVOV) has therefore set the target of reducing salt consumption in Switzerland and limiting the salt content of processed food products. Good evening Sina, You can already find salt-free potato chips in supermarkets in France, like at the E.Leclerc in Laval, Mayenne (Pays de la Loire), where I bought and tasted them this summer. Unfortunately, 1400 kilometers round trip to be able to buy them again seems a bit long, every week. So it's frustrating not to be able to find this type of product either in Switzerland or on the other side of the border. We're already lucky enough to be able to choose whether or not to buy SALT-FREE SNACKS (pistachios, peanuts, cashew nuts, etc.) in various supermarkets throughout Switzerland. I'm hopeful that THE orange giant of supermarkets will one day be able to offer them in its range too, for our enjoyment and our health. Véronique
