A drug that is supposed to reduce methane gas in cows and has only recently been approved.

Bovaer is a feed additive that reduces the climate-damaging methane emissions of dairy cows. This makes milk production more climate-friendly. Bovaer has recently been approved in Switzerland, allowing farmers to use this additive in dairy cattle feed.
Neither Migros nor its milk processing company Elsa Group recommend the use of the Bovaer feed additive to farmers from whom they purchase milk. However, it cannot be ruled out that Elsa Group is already processing milk from producers who use Bovaer.
Agriculture, and therefore the dairy industry, must reduce its greenhouse gas emissions. It is therefore important to research all potential measures.
Bovaer is a tested, approved additive. Food legislation does not require a declaration for this substance. Migros relies on the legal approval and therefore does not require a declaration. Our foods meet the legal requirements and are safe.

Do you know that thalidomide was also approved? Just because they say it was approved doesn't automatically mean that consumers are happy to buy products that contain dangerous substances. You can take people's concerns seriously. I am not interested in whether or not they are making recommendations to part of their group. How can they prove that this helps nature or that this feed additive will not harm people in the future? Doesn't exactly speak for their business.
