The new packaging for the organic butter in the dish is now made entirely of plastic. Previously, we had a very thin plastic tray with a printed cardboard sleeve around it. Now the plastic tray is significantly thicker and the cardboard, which is easy to recycle, has been dispensed with. Why?
And why does the printed plastic tray have the cardboard recycling pictogram on it when the packaging is now made entirely of plastic with a printed cardboard look?

Hello Kosmos, thank you very much for your message and photos. Your surprise at the new packaging format is understandable. The change is due to a shortage of butter trays. We therefore had to switch to another supplier at short notice. We will adapt the recycling pictogram as soon as possible, as the container should correctly be disposed of in the plastic collection bag / household waste. I hope these lines help to clarify things. It's surprising that this shortage of plastic trays (or is it cardboard?) is still going on - surely other products are also packaged in this thin plastic? I hope the packaging remains sustainable at Migros - despite the new direction.

Hi Daniela9999, thank you very much for your inquiry. Unfortunately, the packaging supplier is experiencing delivery problems with this product.
