Better cheese packaging than plastic film?

Is there nothing better than plastic wrap for packaging cheese? I find the shrink plastic packaging the worst. The plastic is shrunk with heat and the vapors are pressed into the cheese. I find the wrapped cling film better. They stay cool and evaporate less, and are also easier to unwrap once the label has been removed. I find loosely sealed packaging, such as that used for some foreign cheeses, just about acceptable. But either way, I think plastic around cheese is a faux pas. No cheese dairy would think of wrapping their cheeses in plastic, would they?
