Migros still recognizes the dates to sell by .... to consume by... (or at least best before...) Some time ago, Coop switched to only printing "best before", supposedly to reduce food waste. At the time, Migros said that it did not intend to follow this example, and lo and behold... Migros' organic ham now only has a "to be consumed by..." -date. That's a shame, because until now I could buy the ham and know that it would still be good in three days' time. Now I have to check carefully to make sure the product won't expire tomorrow. Why has this step been taken now? And please, don't tell me about "reducing food waste", because that's not exactly what it is. I'll just rummage through the rack and pick out the freshest ham. Let someone else take the one that will be expired tomorrow. I'm looking forward to the answer! Many thanks in advance.
