Dear Migros
Is it true that the hollow dumplings have been taken out of the range again?
In our opinion, this is a great pity.
Greetings
Jasmine

Hello Jasmin
Thank you for your message. Which product is this exactly? Do you have a product number or a photo for me? The range of all products varies from store to store, if you tell me where you usually shop, I can check this with the store manager responsible.
Kind regards
Marina

Not again???.... 🙈 This is the third time the hollow noodles have disappeared from the range without warning. Three years ago, they were simply removed from the smaller stores.... They were only available in the large stores... and now nowhere... Dear Migros, is this really the case? I know a few customers who will now be very disappointed. Best regards Jasmin

Hello Jasy79, thank you for your message. I was happy to discuss the availability with our specialist department. In fact, we no longer offer the products due to declining demand. I have, of course, passed your message on to the department managers. As an alternative, I recommend the M-Classic Hörnli and the Bio Hörnli. I hope you like these products at least as much. Kind regards, Tabea

No, I don't like the Hörnli at all! If I had known that the hollow needles would disappear from the range, I would certainly have bought a stock of 20-30 packs. Can you still get them anywhere, or are they no longer made? Best regards, Barbara

Hello garfield68, thank you very much for your message. What a shame that you don't like the suggested alternatives. We no longer produce the hollow noodles. However, I have found one in VOI Leimbach (Zurich) and one in Baden City. If one of these outlets is near you, I can find you the telephone number. It may be possible to pick up the bag locally, but I don't want to get your hopes up. Best regards, Tabea

Why can't you announce that a product will soon no longer be available? You do the same with crockery.

Hello garfield68, we know that we still have room for improvement in this area. However, we rarely communicate article discontinuations for two reasons: firstly, we assume that our customers would not be sufficiently aware of announcements about article discontinuations, as they are exposed to an excessive number of advertising messages these days. Secondly, comprehensive communication about items that we are removing from the range would involve disproportionately high costs. Kind regards, Sina

I regularly read an article in Migros magazine about price changes; is that so much more important that you don't shy away from the "disproportionate costs"? That's exactly how you could communicate what is being removed from the range. And in good time, so that I can still get my 20 packs.

Here is the answer from Migros (you are not the first to have this concern): https://migipedia.migros.ch/de/forum/you-joghurts?backtoboard=q%3Dlc1%26p%3D1%26sort%3Dlast_activity&p=6 "You actually raise a point where we can improve. We rarely communicate article tasks for the following two reasons: 1. on the one hand, we suspect that such announcements would not be sufficiently noticed, as we are exposed to an excessive number of advertising messages these days; 2. on the other hand, a comprehensive flow of information would involve disproportionately high costs. In general, it should be noted that Migros will continue to add innovative or improved products to its range in the future. This means that goods that are less popular will have to make way. I ask for your understanding in this regard." I responded as follows: "Point 1, I don't think that's the case; I'm sure many customers would be aware of announcements about product discontinuations and would certainly welcome receiving information about them; it just depends on how and where you communicate it (for example, if you insert it somewhere underneath a classic TV commercial, it's clear that nobody realizes/reads it). For me, announcements about product discontinuations are not advertising/advertising messages; for me, this belongs in the category of customer information (for me, advertising is TV commercials, newspaper advertisements, etc., in which products are advertised). I am well aware of point 2; comprehensive communication about products that have been removed from the range can certainly be associated with disproportionately high costs. But I think it could certainly be done with a reasonable amount of effort and cost. That's why I suggested the Migros magazine. Or, for example, you could put a section on the Migros website with articles that will soon disappear from the range (in the case of product recalls, e.g. sesame, it was also prominently placed on the website); or set up such a section here in the Migipedia forum or on the Migipedia page." As far as I can remember, Migros has not replied to this...

How would it be if you produced the Hohlnüdeli once every year or even every two years so that they could then be bought in large quantities? I, for one, would immediately stock up on two years' worth of Hohlnüdeli.
