Migros' decision to sell less (pork) meat with the Ip-Suisse label is absolutely shocking to me. Less animal welfare, but lower prices. Are you serious? The fact that such decisions are being made in today's world is sad and upsetting. Migros, YOU are responsible!!!! YOU have the means and opportunities to change and make a difference. And greed is the decisive factor. A really sad day!!!! Look inside such stables! Look the animals in the eye! No, Migros, this is NOT OK!!!!

I am also in favor of label meat. But if the customer doesn't buy it, Migros will no longer offer it. Unfortunately, that's the case with all products. So, as always, it's up to the customer to decide what ends up on the shelves. And by the way: pigs are pack animals, punctuation marks are not😉🙂

When it comes to meat, price plays a decisive role, especially when it comes to pork. This has become increasingly apparent in recent months: due to inflation and the associated price increases, some people want or need to save money when buying food. As we cannot force our customers to buy label products and we want to avoid food waste, we have to offer items that are actually in demand. What's more, the demand for pork has generally been falling for years. This is another reason why we can buy fewer IP Suisse pigs, but we still offer IP Suisse pork. Of course you can't force them, but as long as scrap is available and cheaper, it will be bought. How about if you take your responsibility and instead reduce the conventional range and help a) encourage customers to think about whether instead of cheap meat at the expense of the animals there could be 1x less meat and b) don't punish the farmers who make an effort?
