I've already read a lot about the VDSL offer and I'm starting to be surprised.
We waited for 2 months and received no response, although the VDSL change with router was confirmed via. Mail were confirmed.
There was never an answer to the subsequent mails.
So I called support and explained that we still hadn't received a VDSL router.
The man on the phone explained to me that the (5Fr per month surcharge) 12 months free connection for VDSL does not apply to me, as this is exclusively for new customers. I didn't really care at that point, I just wanted my VDSL at last.
The router arrived 3 days later.
Shortly after the phone call to support, the VDSL changeover was activated, the man on the phone said something about 48 hours??? Anyway, the main thing was that it was switched over.
ADSL 5.22 / 0.57 Mb/s Speedtest.net
(Via DGND3700 dual band modem router)
VDSL 7.65 / 1.06 Mb/s Speedtest.net
(Via ADB router)
Upload is reasonably acceptable but the download is almost 50% below the targeted value!
I will not put up with this.
I've had problems with Swisscom before, but in the end at least it always worked so that I had the required speed.
Previously I could always use my router and read out the attenuation values directly and compare them on the Internet.
It's just great that you now have to rely on some junk router for which you can't even get access data.
The fact that I now have to run two routers in a row is also very ecological! A router that doesn't even have Gigabit Ethernet and is equipped with outdated wireless LAN technology is simply incomprehensible! I guess they just expect the users of M-Budget VDSL to come exclusively from old people's homes.
For me to Migros! There is a clear need to catch up here.

----- Copied from forum, went exactly the same for me, was also quite confused at first.
After a message from the hotline on my combox that I would receive a box to return the router (for recycling), I received the box today (by registered mail).
In the box is a nice letter in which the M-Budget team expresses its regret about my termination (?!?). I should return the device within 10 working days, otherwise I will be charged for it.
I may be making myself unclear. I don't want to recycle my router or send it back to M Budget DSL, nor do I want to cancel my subscription.
Edit: 04.05.2014
I reconnected my old router today as I was interested to see if it would connect at all. As the picture below shows, it does this without any problems, but the network refuses to assign the Internet IP, instead the WinBox is requested in the browser, which is not connected.
But what is very questionable for me is how is this possible?
If the performance is really already based on VDSL, how can the Netgear DGND3700 ADSL2+ router determine the data? see link. http://hdworld.ch/images/dsl_budget.jpg
This is a completely different technology or is it just a scam and it still runs under ADSL?
The customer service told me that I had a profile of 11,000Kbit earlier and now only 8,800 is possible under VDSL. However, I will now at least get the 5Fr. per month waived. I will look for another provider after 1 year at the latest.
