For some time now, Coop has had vegetables and fruit that are misshapen under the name "Unique". The products are cheaper than the perfect ones. I think it's a good thing. Children can see that, for example, carrots have two legs, etc...nothing is perfect in nature. Furthermore, vegetable growers can sell their products and do something for the household budget. I would think it would be great if Migros also had something like this in its range.

I can only agree with you.
For example, I was helping on a potato harvest this summer and we often had a paper sack with us to take out the "heart" shaped potatoes that would otherwise have been fed to the cows.
We, or colleagues to whom we brought some, had great fun with the specially shaped potatoes, even though they can be more difficult to peel.
In my opinion, this example shows that specially shaped vegetables can also be desirable in our society.
I would therefore ask the Mirgos to consider Jolly79's suggestion.

It's a shame that Migros has not yet issued a statement. Such a sensitive issue, as we now know that super tasty fruit and vegetables are sometimes destroyed in large quantities in the field, or are not sold because they don't look their best. Tragic waste!

Thank you very much for your commitment. For almost 20 years, Migros has been offeringunder the M-Budget brand, fruit and vegetables that do not quite meet the standard (e.g. apples, pears, carrots, cooked fruit or potatoes). They are declared as class II, which means that they meet our product requirements in terms of freshness and quality, but do not correspond to the desired size or shape.
In addition, we regularly offer goods that are less perfect after poor harvests in order to support the producers concerned. For example, when the quality of apricots from Valais was affected by a hailstorm.

It's just a shame that the purchase prices are then considerably reduced.
