TOO MUCH SALT IN OUR FOOD,

TROP DE SEL DANS NOS ALIMENTS,

TOO MUCH SALT IN OUR FOOD,

The reasons for the massive use of salt in industrial foods are said to be taste enhancement and masking of certain flavors.

It's well established that people in developed countries consume too much salt. The medical and scientific community (WHO, Inserm, etc.) considers that salt consumption in developed countries is excessive. The harmful effects of excessive salt consumption have long been known.
In March 2003, the WHO (World Health Organization) concluded that salt intake should be less than 5 grams a day...!
The food industry is accused of being responsible for salt over-consumption. For many years now, manufacturers have been adding a lot of salt to industrial foods (ready-made meals, breaded meats, cold meats, potato chips, breads, cheeses, sauces, etc.),

Migros is already making efforts in this direction, but can do more.
