Maybe I missed an earlier price increase, but the sliced meat (Mirgros VS) is suddenly Fr. 62.-- / kg and the dried meat Fr. 101.50 . I have prices of Fr. 56.-- and approx. Fr. 90.-- in my head. I find the surcharge VERY HAPPY. Especially as we seem to have minus inflation in Switzerland. :-(

I don't know anything about the mark-up...
However, minus inflation has no significance for all foodstuffs.
Coffee, chocolate, nuts of all kinds are very dependent on the price of raw materials..... The same with dairy products and meat....

Thank you for your inquiry. I have asked the product range managers about the price development of dried and sliced meat for you.
We have sliced meat and dried meat from various suppliers as well as national and regional products in our range. We would therefore need an article number for precise details.
However, the last price increase on national products was apparently last summer; according to my information, this was mainly due to an increase in raw material prices and therefore purchase prices.

In my opinion, meat should be much more expensive because behind it is a living being that has to give its life for us. It shouldn't be the case that cheese is much more expensive than meat, and lettuce and some vegetables too.
