As Bodenseeknusperli has already mentioned, the ice crystals are condensation that forms when the product is stored in a warm place for a short time (in the store, in the shopping bag, at home, etc.). Here is a brief insight into the production process: the vegetables are usually processed in a plant in the middle of the growing region. The transportation route and the time it takes for the vegetables to arrive at the processing plant are therefore very short. The quality of the freshly harvested vegetables is fully preserved. The producers then blanch the vegetables using state-of-the-art methods and freeze them immediately. No other special treatment takes place. Best regards, Mia
