Questions:
Do these products have to be washed before consumption? This is not stated anywhere on the packaging.
There is no "packed on" date on the Snack me blueberries 125g.

Hi Migireni, thank you for your contribution. The Snack me products are ready to eat. However, we recommend washing fruit and vegetables before consumption if possible. Regarding the packaging date, we can tell you the following: Unprocessed fruit and vegetables from Switzerland are generally dated with "packed on". This solution is supported by the consumer organizations and also meets the legal requirement for complete traceability. With a few exceptions, we do not print a "packaged on" date on unprocessed products imported from abroad. In order to ensure proper traceability back to the producer's parcel, we print the traceability code on the label. This code also includes the packing date.
Exceptions:
- For salads originating in Switzerland, we print a "sell by" date next to the "packed on" date.
- For fruits and vegetables that have been peeled, cut or treated in a similar way, a best-before date is required by law (e.g. peeled onions, pumpkin slices). We implement this as double dating: "for sale until" / "best before".
- For items that need to be stored in a cool place (e.g. sprouts, sliced mushrooms), a use-by date is required by law. At Migros, this is also implemented as double dating: "for sale by" / "to be consumed by".
