We wanted to eat Tradition's delicious Petit Gateau with our coffee on Sunday. Unfortunately, we quickly lost our appetite. We opened a pack which, according to the date, has a shelf life of at least 11.01.24 and it was full of mold! How can this be?

The pack was probably stored incorrectly at home, for example at too high a temperature. Or not... But speculation of this kind is unfortunately inevitable if no further information is provided apart from the expiry date.

This could be a production error. Somewhere along the line, the film was not completely sealed or was slightly damaged by a small tear during transport from production to the warehouse or store. It's annoying, but it can happen 🤷🏼♀️ You can return the product to the store. In almost all cases, Migros is accommodating and will refund your money.

It may also have been stored incorrectly somewhere on the delivery route (supplier, Migros itself, etc.), it doesn't always have to be the customer's fault!

Even if infected goods get into production, this can happen very quickly. Nuts and apples are privileged in this respect.
