I wanted to share with you my impressions of the latest NESCAFÉ® machine, the MINI ME, the brand new NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto®.
First of all, I have to confess that I'm not much of a coffee drinker, I'm more of a hot chocolate and cappuccino girl, so coffee machines aren't really for me. However, I do like to have one now and then, and in this case I want a good one! For a long time, I hesitated to buy a coffee machine that didn't just make coffee, but I was rather perplexed about the quality of the drinks that came from this kind of machine. And then, thanks to Les Initiés, I was able to discover (free of charge and with no obligation to buy) the NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® MINI ME, just what I needed to make up my mind before investing in this type of coffee machine. What is the MINI Me? Well, it's a coffee machine, and not just for black coffee, but also for milk-based drinks and tea. It's very small and takes up very little space, so it's super practical for those in the studio who only have a very small "kitchenette". I can send you a photo if you're interested, or you can take a look directly on the Les Initiés website at http://www.theinsiders.eu.) I've got it in black and white, which goes everywhere, but there are other colors, and I'm a fan! Although it's small, it's got a lot going for it: the water heats up super fast, but not too much, so you can drink straight from the brew without worrying about getting burnt. What's more, it's super easy to use. Before I got it, I thought I was going to struggle to understand how it worked, but in fact it couldn't be simpler: put in the capsule, follow the dosage instructions on the pod box and bingo, the drink's ready in less than a minute! What's more, with the timer, you don't have to stand near the machine to stop it - it stops automatically. The best part is the huge variety of drinks you can make with this tiny machine: café au lait, cappuccino, coffee, chocolate, tea - over 35 different varieties! A real luxury, no need for several machines (kettle, coffee machine...) to make good drinks, so even more space savings. I've had it for a few days now and I can't do without it: a café au lait in the morning, a coffee after dinner and a tea in the evening (well, I confess: also a cappuccino for 4 o'clock!). At this rate, you're going to think I'm going to ruin myself, but actually, I don't think so, because a box of 16 drinks (8 if I use double pods) costs CHF6.60. Considering that coffee at the bar costs a minimum of CHF2.50, I'm actually saving money! To sum up (for the moment), my balance sheet, as you can imagine, is very positive! Let's see in the longer term if I keep the same opinion, but for the moment, I say bravo NESCAFÉ® for the MINI ME, I love it! Oh, I almost forgot to mention a very important little detail, because it was obvious to me after I told you that I drink it 4 times a day: the drinks that come out of this machine are delicious, there's something for every taste, and here too you can check beforehand on the www.dolce-gusto.ch website . On the same site, you can order not only the various capsules, but also attractive accessories such as glasses, spoons, mugs, heat-resistant mugs and even the various Dolce Gusto l machines. What's more, maintenance of the machine is very simple: a small needle hidden behind the water tank preserves the pressure, so you get delicious, frothy drinks day after day! No more dripping or drooling all over the place, thanks to the removable cup platform!

To give my machine a satisfaction rating, I'd say 9/10, because you always have to leave yourself a margin, and above all because I'd like to see other, even more original pods that my MINI ME could use, and also because I find the pods rather large, and the big drawback is that the capsules don't empty completely of water, so they drip a bit into the garbage can ;-) ;-)
Despite these minor inconveniences, which are easily managed, I'd say that it was a pleasure to be able to test the MINI ME, and that it will remain in its specially designed space for a long time to come.
