Why do the Easter bunnies have to be on the shelves so early? 'The customer wants it', or why? If I want to buy an Easter bunny on April 4 or 5, it will probably already be 2 months old? I think that's really excessive.

And these 2571 tons of Easter chocolate, which Bodenseeknusperli is referring to, should be completely gone from the stores as soon as possible after Easter, because by then at the latest you have to stock the promotional areas with the Mother's Day terror range. So you have to start selling the Easter merchandise right after Valentine's Day, otherwise you will have to offer too much of it at a reduced price. The shorter the sales start before Easter, the less will be sold (because customers won't have eaten the stuff beforehand and won't need a few more supplies before Easter...).

It's an old, tiresome topic, but it's true that some of the Easter items are produced in summer and stored in cold stores, and chocolate can be kept for at least a year if stored properly anyway.

Um, no: the Ostware was already available in my local Migros store the week before Valentine's Day. I don't know from which day of the week, I was there on Friday. I almost dropped my shopping basket in shock when I turned the corner and saw the huge shelf full of Easter items. I've still got a pile of Christmas chocolate at home that I've got 50% off :-D But until the Easter items are on sale at half price, I'll get rid of the stuff. Anyone who buys Easter bunnies now has only themselves to blame.

In Action in DE, Easter was already available in the first week of January... and also at all retailers in Germany much earlier than here... if you don't want it, just don't buy it... you have to imagine... only Migros alone produces a massive number of Easter bunnies... I hardly think that Delice wants to keep the bunnies in stock for too long, because they also take up a lot of space there... and Delica also produces a lot more for Migros and co...

As a rule, sales of the actual Easter range start around 8 weeks before Easter. In 2023, this festival falls on April 9. We therefore offer the goods from around the beginning of February. This approach is due to the intensive preparations: as with the Christmas business, the production companies have long lead times for production at Easter, which is particularly long for such festive periods. I just got upset about it today too. The fact that "the customer wants it" is not an argument for me. I've never met anyone who wants that, all my relatives and friends get upset about it. Whether it's Christmas cookies in September or Fasnachtschüechli at the beginning of January, it's just completely exaggerated and annoying.

It's been like this for over 20 years... I don't understand how people can still get upset about such things... Migros has 600 stores, Coop about 960... just think of the quantities per store that are in their FCs... but the companies don't just produce Xmas and Easter goods... of course you don't want to keep the goods in stock for too long... but the issue has been around for 20 years or if not longer
