I will (have to) accept it when it comes, but it will always be a very strange feeling when I see these two things (which I don't consume myself) on the shelves or at the checkout in Migros. It just doesn't fit in with Migros and I've always appreciated the fact that it hasn't happened so far. But if this is what you want, as a customer I will respect and accept it. That's why I won't turn my back on Migros... But if I had the choice as a customer, I would vote "no".

In order for alcohol sales to be permitted in Migros branches, the FMC statutes would have to be amended by the Assembly of Delegates and the statutes of the ten regional Cooperatives would have to be amended by a democratic ballot of all Cooperative members. If this is the case, it would be the last motivation for me to remain a member of the cooperative in order to prevent the ultimate suicide of Migros. It has been doing this in small steps for years, and has already taken a big step this year by giving up many Frey products in favor of Lindt, Toblerone and Co. If the vote goes in favor of selling alcohol and tobacco, it would definitely no longer be "my" Migros. It would be the definitive step towards arbitrary interchangeability, because Migros' last identity feature would also be gone.
